Comparing Walkability in Seoul’s Business Districts: In the CBD, GBD and MBD
This study analyzes workplace walkability in three major office districts in Seoul: the Central Business District (CBD), Gangnam Business District (GBD), and Magok Business District (MBD). For each office building, a 400 m street‐network‐based service area was delineated, and the numbers of everyday amenities, public transport facilities, and green and open spaces within this range were compared. CBD and GBD exhibit high accessibility to restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, and public transport stops, whereas MBD provides fewer such facilities but the most extensive green space. These contrasting combinations indicate distinct workplace walkability profiles, shaping workers’ everyday walking opportunities and outdoor restoration.
